Hello followers! Those of you in the UK, like me, are hopefully able to enjoy some of this warmth and sunshine, without it getting too much. Stay hydrated!

Work is especially hectic for me at the moment. I work in projects and IT for a university, and the summer months are when most of the new systems work is done - while the students are away. It means I'm often spent by the end of the day, so apologies for a lack of meaningful content recently.

New article type - Industry Spotlight

You may have noticed a new type of post go live on Punchboard over the last week. I'm trying to create some industry spotlight pieces, to give some visibility to different people in the industry. Too often publishers and manufacturers don't get the same level of attention as designers and artists. While I will continue to talk to those folks, I want to make sure we know all of the different moving gears which help someone's idea become a game in your home.

The first piece was on Hachette Boardgames UK, a distributor I really like. They're gamers through and through, and genuinely seem interested in the hobby as a whole. I spoke to Flavien to find out what makes them tick.

Choo-choo pre-voo

Other than the piece above, and another spotlight piece I have in draft, my main piece of work this week was writing up a preview for the new release from Dranda Games - Isle of Trains: All Aboard.

The Kickstarter campaign has already blown past its target, and with good reason. It's cheap, and it's a really good game. I'm really pleased, Ayden and Simon from Dranda are really nice folks, and I'm glad they're seeing success again.

If there's anything else you'd like me to cover in these, do let me know. Otherwise, until next time, have fun in the sun and stay safe.

Adam
