It's Spooktober!

Hello!

Apologies, last week was utter chaos for me with my actual job, so I didn't get around to a newsletter. All the more reason to make sure this one is good, right?

I'm a big fan of all things Autumn. The weather, the dark evenings, Bonfire Night here in the UK, and of course, Halloween. I wanted to write a Halloween board game buyer's guide this year, and it took ages. Choosing categories was tricky enough, let alone narrowing the games down to three or four - there are more games than you'd think that work well in spooky season.

So let's start with a look over the last couple of weeks, and see what I've been up to.

New content

The Halloween Board Game Guide - Punchboardpunchboard.co.uk It's the Halloween board game guide you've been waiting for. Families, kids, gamers and parties are all catered for. Get your spook on.

As I mentioned above, the Halloween games list isn't exhaustive, but it covers all the bases, in my opinion.

Below are the other reviews that have gone live over the last fortnight.

Salerno '43 Review - Punchboardpunchboard.co.uk Salerno '43 is the latest in Mark Simonitch's Zone-of-control series. Does it cater for the newbie wargamer? Kinda. Find out more here.

Basilica Review - Punchboard Basilica is a remake of the 2010 cathedral-building duel. Do you enjoy the farmer scoring in Carcassonne and defeating friends? Check it out.

Manifest Review - Punchboard Does the idea of running a 1920s high seas trading company float your boat? Knock on my cabin door, and let me tell you about Manifest.

Partnership update

I'm a few weeks into my new relationship with Kienda, and things are going well. I've got new games here and on the way to review, and all the dealings I've had with them have been great,

Just a quick reminder that if you don't already have an account with them, and spend £60 or more, then signing up with my link - https://kienda.co.uk/punchboard - will get you 5% off. Not to be sniffed at.

Memberships

If you hadn't seen it before, I'm now offering monthly supporter memberships to Punchboard. I'm using Kofi, because I like the way they do business. I'm under no false impressions of how big/important/good Punchboard is, which is why my memberships cost either £1 or £3 per month.

For a full list of what's what, and what's on offer, check out the membership page now - https://ko-fi.com/punchboard/tiers . Starting soon I'll be running some giveaways, and trying to offload some of my overburdened shelves to members, so it's not just about the warm, fuzzy feelings you give me by showing your support.

A huge thank you to Mark L for being my first member. It almost brought a tear to my eye. I won't forget it in a hurry.

Until next time folks, keep playing, and look after the people around you ❤
