Testing the waters with something new...
Hello!
Hello everyone, it's me again. Life here at Punchboard Towers has been pretty hectic, with my son restarting school after the summer break. Trying to return him to normal waking hours has proved difficult, and I now need to set a bomb off under him in the mornings to get going.
I've been playing some games, and most recently it's been All Bridges Burning on the table. I reviewed this COIN game a little while back, and I'd been dying to get it played again, so I made a little time for myself to do exactly that.

Anyway, back to the introductory text, and the something new I'm trying.
Memberships
Every man and his dog have their own Patreon memberships it seems, and it's something I've avoided so far. Partially due to this just being a labour of love for me, and partially due to Imposter Syndrome. As someone without much of a sense of ego, it's been baffling to me that anyone would ever choose to support me in such a way.
I've had a few people ask me about it now though, and in particular, why I don't have some kind of membership support options, as if it's the norm now, and I'm the exception to the rule. I've been umming and ahhing about it for a while, and thought 'sod it, just try it' - and here we are. I'm calling this a soft launch, because I'm not plastering it everywhere just yet.
Rather than go down the Patreon route, I've stuck with Ko-fi to manage it. As it stands, there are two levels of membership: Pencil, and Pen. Because I write stuff. Yeah, I'm not always the most creative person. I'm not in a position to be able to offer much in the way of return, which is why the Pencil option is a paltry £1 a month, and the Pen is £3. It's more about the warm fuzzy feeling you get from chipping in a tiny amount towards my hosting costs, and more importantly (to me, anyway), some kind of validation for me.
For anyone feeling flush enough to pay £3 for Pen membership, I'll be sorting out some kind of backstage access, so you can take a look at my review queue, things I'm working on, and even make suggestions about guides and reviews for me to write in the future. I'll also make sure to credit everyone front-and-center, because it would mean a lot to me.
A quick footnote, if it's needed, just to say that it really doesn't matter if anyone does support the site or not. I'm not going to close it down or have a big sulk. I do this because I love it, and that's not going to change. There'll be no somber, tearful YouTube pleads from me I'm afraid. Throw a pound coin at me if you want to, or don't, I don't mind ❤.
Reviews
More accurately, the lack thereof. I've got a big review in the works, for a game that's taken me months to play and get finished, and I want to do it justice. It means it's taking me longer than usual to find a way to sum-up something I've invested that much time and effort into, in 1500 words.
If you're curious about which game it is, here's a less-than-subtle clue.
More accurately, the lack thereof. I
