Welcome, welcome, welcome

There are a few new subscribers this week, so I want to welcome them into the fold. Things are cosy around here, so stay a while. If you want to get more involved with other folks, Punchboard has its own Discord server right here.

Games

There are plenty of reviews coming soon, including Terracotta Army, Guild of Merchant Explorers, Obsession, Shake That City, and Eleven. I've also got a few lightweight games from across the English Channel to come too.

For now, you can catch up on my favourite game from Board&Dice this year so far, Tiletum.

Tiletum Review - Punchboardpunchboard.co.uk However you choose to pronounce it, Tiletum is the latest in Board&Dice stable of meaty Euro games. I love it, read on to find out why.

If you're reading this and you're one of my winners from the recent giveaway, you should have your game by the end of the week. Despite having a load of massive cardboard boxes, it appears I don't have any Jiffy bags! What's the world coming to.

A peek behind the curtain

One of the things I like to share around here, is how things work for me when it comes to running the site. One of the most important things when you're trying to build a brand of any kind, from a small website about games, right up to a major multinational, is consistency. With that in mind, when I overhauled the site last year, I wrote myself a style guide, just so I'd never forget the exact shades of colour I use, nor which font. I made sure I'll always be able to reference it, and never search for it, and if you're curious, here it is - Punchboard Style Guide.

If you find that sort of thing interesting and would like to know more about how I write reviews, make sense of the deluge of games, and just keep things going, you could join the fine, upstanding supporters like Mark, Becky, Gavin, Brendan, Krissie and Paul, and join the Punchboard Ko-fi members here:

See. Consistency.

Until next time, thank you all.

Adam
