First of all, I want to say a big ‘thank you’ to anyone who recently subscribed to the newsletter. I really appreciate eyes on the words, so thank you. If you’re truly a glutton for punishment, have a look at my Ko-fi supporters page.
This week marks the end of a year of waiting to get back to Harrogate, and to attend Airecon again. If you’re not in the know, it’s a fabulous tabletop games convention held in the north of England once a year, aimed at playing instead of spending. I went last year, had an amazing time, and wrote all about it in my Airecon Show Report.
All of a sudden the months have waiting have suddenly disappeared, and I’m off in two days’ time. I now feel like I barely have the time to get everything ready. I’ve got nothing booked during my stay, except for a teach of a secretive new game from David Turczi and Simone Luciani. I intend to turn up, find people I know, and enjoy their company with some games.
Looking for something to play?
I’ve been re-reading my report from last year’s Airecon, and I played some great games. Some of which I hadn’t reviewed at that point. If you’re on the lookout for something new to play, cast your eyeballs over these reviews from the last year or so, there are some great games in there.
I’ve got some packing to do, in between trying to work full-time and be a dad, so I’m going to leave it there for this week. If you like reading game-related newsletters here on the Substack platform, I highly recommend Geoff Englestien’s GameTek. Go check it out.
